In Tsalka Municipality, commissioned by the Roads Department, the rehabilitation of a 4.4 km section of the Imera–Bareti–Tejisi–Chivtkilisa–Khachkoi–Gumbati–Avranlo road of domestic importance has started.
The rehabilitation section (km 7–km 11) passes through both populated and unpopulated areas. The existing road is unpaved, which makes the movement of motor vehicles difficult.
As a result of the project implementation, travel conditions and road safety on the mentioned section will significantly improve, while travel time and transportation-related costs will decrease.
Within the framework of the project, a 2-lane carriageway, road shoulders, reinforced concrete ditches and gutters, culverts, and a gabion wall will be constructed. Additionally, appropriate road signs will be installed and the road surface will be marked.
The project is financed from the state budget with 4.6 million GEL. The completion of the works is scheduled for 2027.
