The new Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, which we adopted at the spring session, have come into force today - accordingly, from today, the Parliament of Georgia will operate according to the new Rules of Procedure. Shalva Papuashvili thanked everyone involved in the development of the new Rules of Procedure for their work.

“The Rules of Procedure of the Parliament is a “living” document. The new Parliament adopts new Rules of Procedure, which is one of the manifestations of parliamentary sovereignty. The Rules of Procedure is a legislative act that, unlike other laws, is signed only by the Speaker of the Parliament. This shows that it is part of the sovereignty of the Parliament to establish the rules of its own activities“, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
