Six people were detained in Serbia for preparing to overthrow the constitutional order

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Serbia detained 6 people suspected of preparing to overthrow the constitutional order in the state, reports N1 TV channel.

"Six people were arrested in several places on the territory of Serbia due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they had committed a criminal offense, which consisted in preparing an act directed against the constitutional order and security of Serbia", - the publication says.

It is specified that the detainees earlier, on June 21, held a meeting at a hotel in the city of Kraljevo, during which they discussed plans for a violent change of power in the country, as well as attacks on government officials, law enforcement officers and the editorial offices of some media outlets using firearms.

According to available information, the suspects are between 47 and 57 years old. A pistol with an erased serial number was found in the car of one of them, with seven cartridges loaded in the clip. A factory box with 25 rounds of ammunition was also found there, for which the suspect did not have the appropriate license.
