The parliamentary majority will support the Prime Minister’s initiative, which promises to play a crucial role in the fight against drug addiction, writes Mamuka Mdinaradze, Executive Secretary of Georgian Dream.
“These reforms will be implemented swiftly, prohibiting private entities from executing substitution therapy programs, which will instead be managed by the state… We will relocate the infrastructure for these programs away from densely populated areas. The import of psychotropic medications by private companies will also be strictly prohibited.
Furthermore, strict controls will be established over the prescription of psychotropic drugs. These and similar measures demand the full backing of the public! We must do everything in our power to save our generation. No one else will prioritise this - only we can. This is in the best interest of Georgia and its citizens”, - writes Mamuka Mdinaradze on his Facebook page.
