Giorgi Vashadze, leader of the Strategy Agmashenebeli, has been formally arrested based on a court ruling.
Law enforcement officers arrived at the party`s office and presented him with an indictment.
The Tbilisi City Court sentenced Giorgi Vashadze to 7 months in prison and banned him from holding public office for 2 years for failing to comply with the requests of the Parliament’s temporary investigative commission.
