Parliament elects Giorgi Gvarakidze as new Prosecutor General

The Parliament of Georgia elected Giorgi Gvarakidze as the Prosecutor General of Georgia.

His candidacy was put to the vote at today`s plenary session of the legislature.

Gvarakidze was supported by 83 MPs with 0 against.

The Prosecutorial Council elected Giorgi Gvarakidze as the candidate for the post of Prosecutor General by a majority of votes on June 18.
