State Budget 2024 Enforcement Report introduced to the Budget and Finance Committee

The Budget and Finance Committee heard the State Budget 2024 Enforcement Report, introduced by the First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze. According to his report, the planned economic growth rate of 5.2% was surpassed, resulting in a growth rate of 9.4%.

The annual inflation rate at the end of 2024 was 1,9%, while the average inflation for the same period is 1,1%.

As the reporter elucidated, the foreign trade in 2024 constituted 23 bl. 484,7 ml USD, which exceeds the respective previous index by 8,3%, where the export share is 6 bl. 450,4 ml USD, and import - 16,924,3 ml USD.

In 2024, 6,456,1 thousand visitors arrived in Georgia, including 5,091,7 thousand tourists; hence, the tourism revenue amounts to 4,425,4 ml USD - by 7,3% higher than the index of 2023.

The mixed budget revenue forecast for 2024 was determined by 25,616,000,0 k. GEL, while the mobilized amount constituted 25,722,782,0 k. GEL - 100,4% of the planned parameter; the taxes forecast was determined by 23,260,000,0 k. GEL, however, the 23,290,004,8 k. GEL was mobilized - 100,1%.

As for the grants, the forecasted amount was determined by 356,000,0 k. GEL, but the mobilized amount reached 345,978,9 k. GEL - 97,2%.

As the reporter noted, the Law on the State Budget 2024 has been amended only once in 2024. The state budget assignments increased by 900,000,0 k. GEL compared to the initial budget and constituted 25,930,420,7 k. GEL. The cash enforcement for 2024 constituted 25,946,342,9 k. GEL - 100,1% of the planned index.
