According to the Ministry of Economy, in 2024, against the backdrop of economic growth, the poverty level decreased significantly and reached a historical minimum.

"The absolute poverty level, which refers to the share of the population below the poverty line, decreased by 2.4% in 2024 compared to the previous year and amounted to 9.4%.

The indicator has halved compared to 2019. In 2024, compared to the previous year, approximately 90,000 more people, and compared to 2019, more than 378,000 people, escaped poverty.

The poverty level decreased in all age groups, both in rural and urban areas".
