Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of Administration of Government of Georgia, met with Ivana Zivkovic, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Director of the Regional Bureau.
Attention in the meeting was paid to the years-long productive cooperation between the Government of Georgia and UNDP, along with the directions of its further development.
The UNDP Regional Director commended the relations between the Government of Georgia and the UN. It was noted that, as a result of this partnership, more than one far-reaching project has been carried out over the years, and that active cooperation in this direction will continue.
Attention in the meeting was paid to further deepening the relations between the UN and the Government of Georgia, a step poised to advance this cooperation to another level. Georgia’s national interests-those setting the stage for programs carried out by UN organizations-are defined as the key priorities under the new format of cooperation.
“It is very important to us, because cooperation with donors, international organizations must build on the national views, strategies, and government programs supported by our citizens”, - said Levan Zhorzholiani.
The meeting at the Government Administration was attended by Douglas Webb, UNDP Resident Representative in Georgia.
