We will do everything we can to ensure that as many people as possible make the decision to return to their homeland, where we must provide them with appropriate living conditions and decent jobs. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Georgia made at the forum dedicated to Diaspora Day.
"Our compatriots living abroad introduce the uniqueness of Georgia and our traditions, our culture to the whole world. Accordingly, their role in the development of our country is huge. I am glad that more and more people understand the importance of this mission. In parallel with all this, our main concern should be the return of our compatriots living abroad to Georgia. We will do everything possible to ensure that as many people as possible make the decision to return to their homeland, where we should provide them with appropriate living conditions and decent work.
I am glad that last year the number of compatriots who returned to their homeland slightly exceeded the number who left the country. We have great hope that along with the rapid growth of the economy, the number of emigrants returning to their homeland will increase from year to year. This is our main national mission, the task of returning as many of our compatriots as possible from year to year to their homeland", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
