Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia, meets Masato Kanda, President of the Asian Development Bank

Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia met H.E. Masato Kanda, President of the Asian Development Bank [ADB]. Ekaterine Guntsadze, Deputy Minister of finance also participated in the meeting as part of the Georgian delegation.

The dignitaries reviewed areas of cooperation between Georgia and the Asian Development Bank. Lasha Khutsishvili once again congratulated Masato Kanda on his appointment as ADB President in February of this year and wished him success in his role.

The discussion touched on the progress Georgia has achieved in recent years, emphasizing the importance of strong economic growth and stable macroeconomic indicators. They also discussed ADB-supported projects in various sectors of the Georgian economy that have contributed to the country`s development.

The ADB President highlighted Georgia`s important role in regional and multilateral cooperation and expressed hope that the successful partnership between Georgia and the ADB will continue in the future.

The ADB is a key international financial partner of Georgia. Since the country joined the Bank in 2007, ADB`s investments in Georgia have exceeded 5 billion USD. This year, the 58th Annual Meeting of the ADB is being hosted in Milan.
