Annita Hipper, the chief press-spokesperson of the European Union in matters of foreign and security policy, responds to the recent developments in Tbilisi on the social network X.
“There are alarming reports about the arbitrary detention of protesters in Georgia, violence against them and improper treatment. We call on the authorities to stop using excessive force and ensure freedom of assembly. All acts of violence must be investigated immediately”, - writes Annita Hipper.
