Over the course of October, the cost of the lowest-priced basket of 13 basic food products on the www.ekalata.gov.ge portal fluctuated within a narrow range. It was lowest on 1 October, at GEL 35.82, and stood at GEL 36.46 on 31 October, the last day of the reporting period.

Its highest level, GEL 36.51, was recorded on several dates, including 15-20 and 23-27 October. Compared with the beginning of the month, the cost of the basket rose by approximately 1.8% by the end of October.

The lowest-priced basket of 10 basic non-food products of primary consumption, also available on the portal, likewise fluctuated during the month. It peaked at GEL 30.69 on 14 October and reached its lowest level, GEL 26.31, between 29 and 31 October. By the end of the reporting period, its cost had fallen by approximately 7% compared with the beginning of the month.

Since the portal was launched in July, the cost of the lowest-priced food basket has fallen by approximately 15%, from GEL 42.96 at the beginning of July to GEL 36.46 on 31 October. Price recording for the non-food basket began on 3 August; between that date and 31 October, its cost fell by approximately 31%, from GEL 38.16 to GEL 26.31.
