Special attention must be paid to the development of vocational education. The Prime Minister of Georgia made this statement during the presentation of the labor market research results.
As he noted, one problem revealed by the labor market analysis is that among those currently employed, only 60% actually require a diploma for their specific positions.
“In reality, these people - the remaining 40% - require vocational education, and they are employed in corresponding fields. As you know, there have been serious problems in the direction of vocational education over the years. One of the main goals of our reform is to refine vocational education in the country and raise its quality. We are ready to discuss the details of this research with you. If there are questions, we are ready to answer them.
I will say once again that conducting this analysis was urgent so that we can protect the interests of our applicants, young people, and students as much as possible, and provide them with the right direction when choosing their professional path”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
