Police seize a particularly large amount of “methadone” in Tbilisi - Ukrainian citizen arrested

The officers of the Investigation Department of the Isani - Samgori Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a citizen of Ukraine, K.P., born in 1996, on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of a particularly large amount of narcotic drugs. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports on this.

Law enforcement officers in Tbilisi seized “methadone” during a personal search of the detainee, and during a search of his residential building - an electric scale and materials necessary for packaging narcotic drugs.

The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260 and 260-quarta of the Criminal Code, which stipulate penalties of up to 20 years’ imprisonment or life imprisonment.
