Unemployment rate for the fourth quarter stands at 3.3%, marking a record low in quarterly terms - Kobakhidze

The unemployment rate for the fourth quarter stands at 3.3 percent, marking a record low in quarterly terms. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

As he noted, the Government is taking measures this year to further reduce unemployment.

"In general, the optimal unemployment rate is between 3 and 5%, and we believe this target can be achieved within a few years. Achieving this requires sustained economic growth, which is supported by the specific economic initiatives and investment projects currently being implemented in our country. Everything must be done to bring unemployment below 5%, which is entirely realistic. Increasing exports is also crucial. Promoting our products, boosting exports, and improving the import-export balance are priorities that we will continue to pursue actively", - added Irakli Kobakhidze.
