Speaker of the Georgian Parliament responds to the international criticism directed at Georgia amid the ongoing revelations linked to the Epstein files.
Speaking to the journalists, he said that "the wave of scandals connected to Epstein and his island has led to the resignation of high-ranking officials and diplomats in both the United States and European countries".
"On the backdrop of the scandal surrounding Epstein and his island, which has been unfolding recently, we are seeing one after another resignations of senior officials and diplomats in both the US, European countries. And in this context, when we hear criticism from people who are part of this political landscape, only one response comes to mind: everyone should mind their own Epstein Island.
What we are witnessing and what is now being revealed is extremely serious. This is no longer a civilizational gap - it is a human gap, where it turns out that a large part of the political elite was involved", - said Shalva Papuashvili.
He also referenced the recent resignation of the Chief of Staff of the British Prime Minister, claiming it was connected to the appointment of an individual whose name appears in the Epstein files.
