A Georgian citizen illegally detained near the occupied village of Tsinagara has been released.
According to the State Security Service of Georgia [SSSG], the person is now in territory controlled by the central government.
"The citizen of Georgia who was illegally detained on January 21 has been released and is now in territory controlled by the central government.
The SSSG extends its gratitude to all parties involved in the process for taking into account the detainee`s condition and best interests, and for their swift response.
Georgia`s central government and the State Security Service continue to work actively towards the release of all Georgian citizens held in illegal detention in the occupied territories", - adds the SSSG.
