Relevant departments of Tbilisi City Hall continue to intensively clear roads and pedestrian areas of snow - City Hall

For the fourth day, snow clearing works have been ongoing in Tbilisi from roads and pedestrian areas. The relevant departments of the capital`s City Hall are still working 24 hours a day.

Sidewalks and municipal transport stops are currently being cleared in Bagebhi, on Cholokashvili Street, Chavchavadze and Melikishvili Avenues. Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi Irakli Bendeliani and Director of Tbilservice Group Giorgi Papava were present at the site.

"Naturally, from the very first minute of snowfall, the relevant departments of the City Hall have been working 24-hours. Initially, the priority was to eliminate the disruptions on the central avenues and streets, as well as to ensure that public transport moved smoothly. At this stage, the snow has stopped and we have the opportunity to start cleaning work on the inner-district streets. We are starting to work on the sidewalks and alleys with full mobilization. Road cleaning work will continue until the existing problem is resolved in all locations. I call on the population, if necessary, to contact us via the City Hall hotline and we will eliminate the problem as soon as possible", - said Irakli Bendeliani.

Since January 17, more than 5 000 tons of technical salt have been poured on the streets of the capital and adjacent territories.
