The EU delegation has so far remained silent and has not provided any explanations regarding the video clip it prepared for the Georgian Flag Day.

The video, which is only a few seconds long, shows the Georgian flag at protests, which, according to the Georgian Dream, is a romanticization of violent protests and an encouragement of confrontation.

The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament was asked a question about the video clip published by the EU Delegation on the occasion of the Georgian Flag Day, which also uses footage of the protest.

“If it really wanted to congratulate, maybe the EU should finally take an example from the new US administration and see how the US Embassy congratulated Georgia on its National Flag Day yesterday.

This contrast, which was yesterday, shows very well the civilizational abyss into which the Brussels bureaucracy is leading the EU today.

This was an act of justifying, romanticizing and, among other things, supporting violence.

On the National Flag Day of Georgia, we saw an obscene, insulting footage of the Georgian flag being used by the EU Embassy to “congratulate” the Georgian people. Of course, this obscenity is absolutely unacceptable. To use the words of the EU Ambassador himself, what we saw on the EU Embassy’s social media page is outrageous, shameful and disgusting” - said Shalva Papuashvili.
