Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia is participating in the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week Summit as part of the Georgian delegation, headed by the Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

As Mariam Kvrivishvili said, it is in the Government`s interest to deepen existing trade and economic relations with the United Arab Emirates, which would additionally strengthen a number of important sectors of the country`s economy.

Our interest is to deepen existing trade and economic relations, to attract even more investments, which will strengthen a number of important sectors of our country`s economy, including the transport sector, logistics, the hospitality industry, and the development sector.

Especially in the transport and logistics sector, about Georgia`s role in the Middle Corridor, as well as what important projects our country is implementing, especially in terms of large-scale infrastructure development, including the Anaklia deep-sea port, as well as the modernisation of the Georgian Railway and its further development, so that the country continues to be one of the most important pillars and a reliable partner in the Middle Corridor", - said Mariam Kvrivishvili.
