Migration Department employees deported 13 foreign citizens from Georgia

Employees of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in close coordination with the relevant units of the Ministry, have deported 13 foreign citizens from Georgia in recent days.

It is noteworthy that the total number of persons deported from Georgia this year amounted to 1,311 persons.

The deported persons are citizens of Turkmenistan, Iran, Cuba, Turkey, Thailand and Azerbaijan. In accordance with the current legislation, they were banned from entering the country.

The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its competencies is to identify and deport foreign citizens who reside in Georgia without a legal basis, through intensive immigration control and other special measures.
