Representatives of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance held a summary meeting with the business sector and interested parties to familiarize themselves with the changes made to tax and customs legislation in 2025 and planned innovations.
The event was opened and welcomed by the Minister of Finance, Lasha Khutsishvili, Head of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, Irakli (Dachi) Beraia, and Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee of the Parliament, Paata Kvizhinadze.
In his speech, Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili spoke about the current year"s macroeconomic indicators and the main parameters of the 2026 budget, as well as changes made in tax and customs policy and issues of future cooperation with business.
As the Head of the Revenue Service, Irakli (Dachi) Beraia, noted in his speech, the goal of the agency is to further develop partnership relations with taxpayers, which implies a high level of trust and close cooperation.
“Your opinions, comments and critical assessments are an important basis on which the Revenue Service plans to take further steps. It is worth noting that as a result of the effective work of the Revenue Service, the tax revenue target for the consolidated budget for 11 months of 2025 was met by 100% and mobilized taxes exceeded 23 billion GEL. Also, within the framework of the automatic VAT refund program, more than 2 billion GEL was returned to businesses in 11 months of 2025, which is the best opportunity for businesses to access financial resources in a timely manner”, - said the Head of the Revenue Service.
The presentation of the 2025 activity report of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance was attended by members of parliament, representatives of business associations and financial institutions, as well as the deputy heads of the agency, Paata Kiladze, Irakli Shartava, Levan Tsitelashvili, and heads of various departments.
