Fire rages on slope of mixed forest near Khani village in Baghdati - about 200 firefighters are participating in the liquidation work

A blaze is currently burning on the hillside of a mixed forest close to the village of Khani in Baghdati.

According to the Emergency Management Service [EMS], approximately 200 firefighters are actively engaged in extinguishing the fire, employing specialised equipment and machinery.

An ongoing effort to contain the fire involves personnel and specialised machinery from EMS, along with 3 Border Police helicopters. An emergency command centre has been established at the scene. As the EMS adds, there is no immediate threat of the fire spreading to nearby inhabited areas.
