Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met with the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturian. During the face-to-face meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between Georgia and Armenia and the prospects for cooperation in various fields.

At the meeting, the colleagues discussed the current political developments, as well as the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region in the rapidly changing international order.

The President of Georgia thanked his counterpart for his support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

As Mikheil Kavelashvili noted at the meeting, Georgia welcomes the initialing of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Georgia also firmly supports the establishment of peace and stability in the South Caucasus and is ready to continue to make its contribution as needed.

The meeting was held at the Presidential Palace.
