Deputy Minister of Economy said the German carrier`s return to the Georgian market after a two-year interval marked an important development for Georgia’s aviation and tourism sectors.

"Frankfurt am Main, as an international aviation hub, is a strategic destination for us. Transatlantic transit routes will create additional opportunities for the Georgian market. This air connection will enable Georgia to deepen its economic ties with Germany and serve as an additional incentive for attracting tourist flows.

It is noteworthy that the number of international visitors from Germany has been increasing annually. EU member states, including Germany, remain among our strategic target markets, and the Ministry of Economy and its relevant agencies are working actively to increase direct flights and bring in more tourists", - said Tamar Ioseliani.

German airline Condor Airlines will resume daily direct Frankfurt-Tbilisi-Frankfurt flights starting June 15, 2026. Condor Airlines previously operated in the Georgian market between 2022 and 2023, running twice-weekly flights on the Tbilisi-Frankfurt-Tbilisi route.
