Employees of the Kvemo Kartli Forest Service have revealed the fact of illegal logging and transportation of timber in the Bolnisi-Dmanisi forest area.

An administrative offense report has been drawn up against a local resident who illegally obtained firewood of the Tskhila species.

The vehicle was sealed, and the illegally harvested timber was transported to the Bolnisi “business yard”.

It is noteworthy that in order to prevent, detect and suppress illegal use of natural resources, monitoring is carried out, along with patrols by employees of regional forestry services, using video traps and drones placed in the state forest.
