Migration Department employees deported 30 foreign citizens from Georgia

Within the framework of the complex measures carried out in recent days by the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, 30 foreign citizens were deported from Georgia, in close coordination with the relevant units of the Ministry.

Deported persons are the citizens of India, Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, the Philippines, Jordan, Bangladesh, Canada, Côte d’Ivoire and Romania. In accordance with the current legislation, they were banned from entering the country.

The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its competencies is to identify foreign citizens who reside in Georgia without legal grounds and to carry out their expulsion from Georgia.
