“It is quite difficult to talk about some guarantees today. The only guarantee that our country has for security today is the Government’s wise and cautious policy and, of course, the wisdom of our people.

This is the greatest security guarantee that Georgia has today. Georgia is not a member of any military and political organization that would cover its head with a security umbrella. We have often talked about this, Georgia’s foreign policy priority is membership in NATO and the EU, although we also see clearly that today Georgia still does not have this hat after so many years.

The only guarantee that Georgia has today, I am talking about a security guarantee, is the Government’s wisdom and the wisdom of the Georgian people and how decisions will be made in a way that minimizes the threats that our country faces.

There are quite a lot of such threats, neither the geographical nor the geopolitical situation is simple, and of course, it is very important to pursue a cautious, but sometimes courageous policy”, - said Maka Botchorishvili.
