Mariam Kvrivishvili meets US business mission to explore cooperation opportunities

U.S. Chargé d`Affaires Alan Purcell welcomed a delegation of American business leaders and representatives from Georgian business and government circles as part of a U.S. business delegation exploring trade, energy, infrastructure, and logistics opportunities in the Middle Corridor region.

The delegation, organized in partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service, the America-Georgia Business Council (AGBC), the United States-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC), and the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan, visited Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan.

The delegation explored opportunities to strengthen U.S.-Georgia cooperation in critical infrastructure, digital trade, new technologies, transportation, and logistics.

Minister of Economy met the delegation for lunch and attended the reception with the delegation. Mariam Kvrivishvili emphasised the importance of bilateral strategic partnership, noting that Georgia is interested in resetting relations with the United States and restoring strategic cooperation. She highlighted major infrastructure projects being implemented with Georgian government investment that aim to strengthen the country`s transit function.

According to the minister, the implementation of projects such as the East-West Highway, railway modernisation, upgraded port infrastructure, and others will support Georgia`s development and reinforce its role in the Middle Corridor initiative, while also enhancing the route`s competitiveness. As she noted, such meetings help bring bilateral business circles closer together and improve trade and economic relations between countries.
