Giorgi Gakharia, leader of the Gakharia for Georgia party, confirmed in the interview with TV Pirveli, that he had been granted a residence permit in Germany.

"We don`t speak about political asylum. These people want to create a myth. This is a work permit, and this work will be linked to Georgia, Georgia`s European future, and expert activities on EU integration and EU enlargement eastward. All will be centered around Georgia. I will serve Georgia from Germany… Yes, now I will serve my country from here", - said Giorgi Gakharia and added that he did not plan to return to Tbilisi in the near future.
