Non-governmental organisations were directly involved in anti-state actions and revolutionary processes. Such a statement made today the Prime Minster of Georgia.
“As for the NGOs, we all know very well that they were directly involved in anti-state activities. This was acknowledged by the current U.S. administration as well. Through USAID, NED, and other funds, certain organizations were engaged in anti-state actions not only in Georgia but also in other countries. They were involved in revolutionary processes. The rest is a matter for the investigation, and everyone is obliged to cooperate with it”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
His comment came after the heads of certain NGOs were summoned as witnesses for questioning at the Prosecutor General"s Office, as part of an ongoing investigation into sabotage, attempted sabotage under aggravated circumstances, assistance to foreign-controlled organisations in hostile activities, the mobilisation of funds against Georgia’s constitutional order and national security.
