The President of Georgia expresses his condolences to Levan Gachechiladze`s family, friends and relatives.

"I express my deep sorrow over the death of the Georgian politician and businessman, Levan Gachechiladze. He was one of the outstanding figures in Georgia`s recent history.

His civic responsibility, love for the homeland and devotion to national values are exemplary and commendable. I express my condolences to Levan`s family, friends and relatives on this great loss", - writes Mikheil Kavelashvili.

Businessman and politician Levan Gachechiladze has died at the age of 61.
