The Vintage Coordination Headquarters will launch a new hotline - 0322 193 283 - alongside the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture`s existing hotline, 1501, to help facilitate the organisation of the 2025 vintage.
"Government continues to support winegrowers and farmers to ensure the smooth completion of the grape harvest. Once the harvest begins, a dedicated hotline operated by the Coordination Headquarters will be available 24 hours a day to respond promptly to the queries and concerns of winegrowers and producers. Introduction of this additional hotline aims to streamline the harvest process", - said Levan Mekhuzla, Chairman of the National Wine Agency.
The Vintage Coordination Headquarters, which will operate 24/7, is situated in the village of Gurjaani, Kakheti.
"Following a decision by the Government, subsidies will no longer be issued to private wine companies in 2025. Instead, the state enterprise Harvest Management Company LLC will take over the surplus grapes.
The purchase prices are set as follows: Saperavi grapes grown in Kakheti - GEL 1.50; other wine varieties permitted by Georgia`s Law on Vine and Wine - GEL 1.20; substandard grapes with sugar content not exceeding 18% - GEL 1.00; damaged or diseased grapes - GEL 1.00", - says the National Wine Agency.
