Parliament’s Temporary Investigative Commission is holding its final session. MPs will discuss and approve a draft conclusion, which will be presented to the plenary session of legislature at the start of the autumn session. The mentioned Commission was created “in order to examine crimes committed by the former United National Movement [UNM] Government between 2003 and 2012”. A number of politicians and witnesses have been summoned. Some of the opposition leaders who did not cooperate with the commission have been detained. According to the Chairperson of the UNM, after the peaceful revolution, all members of the Commission will find themselves in the dock. “This is a commission that aimed to indict President Mikheil Saakashvili. Each member of the treason commission will find himself in the dock, and this will happen very soon. This will happen precisely as a result of the changes brought by the Georgian people, which we will bring through a peaceful revolution. The Georgian people will definitely overthrow the treasonous government”, - said Tina Bokuchava.
