Speaker of the Georgian Parliament declined to comment on the interview of the outgoing US Ambassador, which was released by the Radio Liberty.
His remarks came in response to a question regarding Robin Dunnigan’s statement about an “unpublicised, offensive, and unserious” letter reportedly sent by the Georgian Dream leadership to Donald Trump, which was “extremely poorly received in Washington”.
“Radio Liberty, which itself was exposed by President Trump as a propaganda outlet, is spreading the interview of a retired Ambassador. Neither the Ambassador nor the outlet is of interest to us.
Radio Liberty was originally created by the [US] Central Intelligence Agency and was secretly funded through its budget, and that although the funding mechanisms have since changed, it remains officially a propaganda media outlet. President [Donald] Trump himself has criticised Radio Liberty, halted its funding, and even expressed a desire to shut it down entirely as a propaganda tool”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
