
Within the framework of the complex measures carried out in recent days by the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, 14 foreign citizens were deported from Georgia, in close coordination with the relevant units of the Ministry.
Based on the received information, within the framework of special measures, specific locations were inspected by the department employees, which was aimed to identify foreign nationals residing in Georgia without legal grounds.
The deported persons are citizens of India, Nepal, Pakistan and Libya. In accordance with the current legislation, the deported persons were banned from entering the country.
The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its competencies is to identify foreign citizens who reside in Georgia without legal grounds and to carry out their expulsion from Georgia.
