The President of Georgia commenced his official visit to Azerbaijan.

In a social media message, Mikheil Kavelashvili said he was pleased that his first official visit as the President of Georgia was taking place in Azerbaijan: “I am pleased that my first official visit as the President of Georgia is taking place in Azerbaijan - a country that is not only our friend but also our strategic partner”.

Within the framework of his visit, he will hold face-to-face and extended meetings with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev, the Prime Minister Ali Asadov, and Chairperson of the Milli Mejlis Sahiba Gafarova.
