Unfortunately, the European Parliament, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe are not treating Georgia properly. Such a statement Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Head of the Turkish Delegation in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, made at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

“We are enjoying excellent bilateral relations and excellent political and economic relations as neighbours, and we have been supporting Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations from the beginning. In international fora, Georgia and Turkiye have been supporting each other’s candidatures and et cetera on every platform. That is exactly what I am doing right now as the head of the Turkish delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

Unfortunately, the European Parliament and Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe are not treating Georgia properly. I want to ask them to respect the free will of the Georgian people”, - said Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
