Parliament’s Temporary Investigative Commission to appeal to Prosecutor General’s Office over Giorgi Vashadze’s failure to appear at the session

The Parliament’s Temporary Investigative Commission will appeal to the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the absence of Giorgi Vashadze, leader of Strategy Aghmashenebeli, at the Commission’s session.

Besides, the Commission has summoned one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, Nika Melia, urging him to appear before the session. Otherwise, his case will also be referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.

“I am putting the matter to a vote - that Mr. Giorgi Vashadze’s case be referred to the Prosecutor’s Office regarding a possible violation of Article 349 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. Nika Melia has also been summoned to the session, and I urge him to attend. Otherwise, we will be forced to make the same decision as we just did in Mr. Giorgi Vashadze’s case”, - said Tea Tsulukiani.
