Prosecutor’s Office has indicted Badri Japaridze

The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has indicted Badri Japaridze, leader of “Lelo” party.

As he wrote on the social media, “if anyone has claims, they are contrived by Tea Tsulukiani” [Chairperson of the parliamentary interim investigative commission].

“My indictment is linked to non-attendance to the so-called commission’s meeting. I don’t have any prognosis for the prosecution’s further steps, but let us wait. Obviously, the current repressive regime uses prosecution and the court as retribution tools against opponents. If anyone has claims, they are contrived by Tea Tsulukiani, but there is court to review claims”, - writes Badri Japaridze.
