I call on the international community, especially European countries that did not condemn the so-called elections held in Abkhazia, to condemn these so-called elections and declare them illegal. Such a statement made today Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations.

He responded to the 2nd round of the so-called presidential elections held in Russian-occupied Abkhazia on March, 1.

"On behalf of the Parliament, we condemn the conduct of the “elections”, as any act or action carried out on the territory of Abkhazia, as long as Georgia’s jurisdiction is not fully restored and Abkhazia is not de-occupied, is, of course, illegal. These so-called elections are also illegal", - said Nikoloz Samkharadze.
