The official visit of Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia to the Republic of Uzbekistan has begun.
At Tashkent’s Islam Karimov International Airport, the Prime Minister of Georgia was welcomed by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khojaev and the Mayor of Tashkent, Shavkat Umurzakov.
As part of the official visit, meetings are scheduled between the Prime Minister of Georgia and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, as well as with the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Legislative Authority and the Chairman of the Senate.
In Tashkent, the 10th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Georgia and Uzbekistan will take place, with participation from members of the governments of both countries.
The Prime Minister of Georgia is visiting the Republic of Uzbekistan with a delegation, which includes First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili, Minister of Sports Shalva Gogoladze, and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
