Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday said the United States President-elect Donald Trump had promised that he would defeat the Deep State, and wished him “success in this very important matter”.

Kobakhidze claimed the “unjust” decisions of the current US administration in relation to Georgia were the result of the actions of the Deep State.

“He [Trump] said something like this - either the Deep State will destroy the United States or the United States will destroy the Deep State. You can see that for all these four years, it was the Deep State that was destroying the United States, and this is the result of the unjust decisions that we hear so often from American bodies”, the PM alleged.

The Government head further added that the United States needed “deoligarchisation”, pointing out that “President Trump also believes that the US needs to be freed from informal influences”.
