The Acting Prime Minister of Georgia dismissed the significance of European Parliament resolutions, saying that resolutions, which “include demands that will collapse the country’s economy”, were “absolutely unjust”.

In the interview with Imedi LIVE, Irakli Kobakhidze criticized the EP’s recent resolution, which addresses sanctions, visa liberalization, new elections, Mikheil Saakashvili’s transfer abroad for medical treatment.

“This resolution is not new. This is, if I am not mistaken, the fifth resolution that the EP aims to adopt. None of the previous resolutions had any value for anyone, including neither the European Commission nor the European Council, and for us, of course, such resolutions, which are absolutely unfair, cannot have any value… The resolutions had included harmful demands. They directly demanded the imposition of sanctions from us on Russia [for invading Ukraine], which would collapse the country’s economy”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
