Foreign Minister of Georgia said that the Georgian delegation would have an opportunity to discuss issues of importance to both the country and the wider South Caucasus region at the highest level on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Speaking about Prime Minister’s visit to the US, she noted that he was scheduled to participate in a European Union-organised event dedicated to multilateralism.

"Irakli Kobakhidze has begun his visit to New York. Bilateral meetings with counterparts are scheduled for today on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. We will have the opportunity to discuss issues of importance to Georgia and the region at the highest level.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to participate today in an EU-organised event dedicated to multilateralism, where he will take part in the discussion", - said Maka Botchorishvili.

Irakli Kobakhidze arrived in the US with a government delegation to participate in the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. As part of the high-level session, he is scheduled to address the General Debate on September 24, presenting Georgia’s positions and priorities to representatives of UN member states.
