This year has been challenging and full of trials for Georgia, especially on the backdrop of today’s complex geopolitical situation. The President of Georgia said this in his speech at the 2025 Ambassadors’ Conference.

As he underlined, the Georgian Government remains steadfast in defending its sovereignty, national interests, and the peace of its people.

“Because of our principled stance in safeguarding Georgia’s sovereignty, national interests, and peace for our citizens, our country has faced a number of unfounded accusations. We have had to confront multiple challenges and stand up to large-scale campaigns that were certainly not in the best interests of Georgia or its people. Yet, even amid these challenges, research and reports from various institutions and organisations confirm that, based on reliable and objective data, Georgia is not only a regional leader in several areas but even outpaces some EU and NATO member states”, - added Mikheil Kavelashvili.
