Officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Customs Department of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance have detained a Ukrainian citizen on charges of drug crimes.
H.D., born in 1992, has been arrested on charges of illegal purchase and storage of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in a particularly large amount and their import into Georgia.
While checking the defendant`s hand luggage, law enforcement officers seized an exceptionally large amount of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances hidden in tin cans of baby formula, including: more than 760 grams of "MDMA", 762 grams of "Clephedrone" and more than half a kilogram of the psychotropic substance "Ketamine".
The investigation is underway under Articles 260, 261, 262 and 263 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
