Our task is to complete the first phase of works by 2029 so that the Anaklia Deep Sea Port can receive its first ships; we are moving in the right direction, and the work has been accelerated as much as possible. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

As he noted, there is immense interest in the Anaklia Port, including among Georgia`s partners.

"This includes Central Asian countries, our neighboring states, Middle Eastern countries, as well as European companies and European countries. Consequently, this port holds very significant prospects. Our goal is to complete the first phase as soon as possible. Our objective is for the first phase of works to be finished by 2029 and for the Anaklia Deep Sea Port to welcome its first ships, and we are moving in the right direction. The work has been expedited to the maximum. We experienced some delays because the contract was revised, and its cost was reduced by approximately USD 50 million, for which I would like to thank the Ministry of Economy and the Minister of Economy personally once again. Now, operations are proceeding smoothly, which allows us to make the optimistic statement that by 2029, the port will receive its first ships, and the interests of numerous countries will be represented in this port", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
