We have decided to use our mandates... Starting tomorrow, we will begin our activities in the Parliament, although we do not recognize its legitimacy even now - Levan Gogichaishvili

Giorgi Gakharia’s party will start working in Parliament tomorrow. A day earlier, a comment was made in the party. The decision also caused internal controversy, with Rusudan Tevzadze, who was one of the 12 MPs who were replaced by the suspended MP, leaving her mandate and the party.

The suspended boycott is a topic of assessment across the political spectrum. Opposition is criticizing Gakharia’s team, while the Georgian Dream claims that they still had to recognize the elections and, consequently, the Parliament, although nothing will change with their entry into the legislative body.

According to Levan Gogichaishvili, a member of the political council of “Gakharia for Georgia”, they will enter the Parliament tomorrow and start working, although they do not recognize its legitimacy.

“We have decided to use the mandates, to use the tools provided by the Parliament and parliamentary activities. Accordingly, we will begin this activity in the Parliament of Georgia from tomorrow. Of course, we do not recognize the legitimacy of the Parliament, but we are aware of the reality that has been created and we are going to use parliamentary tools to explain where the Georgian Dream and the [United] National Movement have brought this country”, - said Levan Gogichaishvili.
